Found this in the Sundancesaloon.org newsletter today...what a treat it is to hear that this group is still around and kicking! Was very active myself in clogging 1984-1987 or so, and knew a lot of the guys in the group way back when.

9. CLOGGING CLASSES

Matt Ellinger of the Barbary Coast Cloggers teaches a 3-week clogging class on Mondays each month. The next series is Jan 9, 23 & 30, 7:30 - 10:00pm at the Jon Sims Center, 1519 Mission St, San Francisco. 7:30-8:15 PM: Beginning Clogging, 8:15-9:15 PM: Intermediate Clogging, 9:15-10:00 PM: Advanced Clogging. The Barbary Coast Cloggers will celebrate their 25th Anniversary in the next year! They will have another outstanding year, and ask for your support. Back in Toronto in the 1990s, I used to clog with a demo team and for fun on Sunday afternoons with two groups. I miss it a lot... while there are clogging groups in the greater DC area, they're geographically problematic (Annapolis, MD, and Manassas, VA) from where I live and their dance nights collide with my calling gigs. sigh

I still have the dress shirt our demo team wore for exhibitions: white cotton with hot pink yoke & fringe along the arms. Truly frightening. Should be classified as toxic waste. I'll have to dig a bit to see I have pictures of me wearing it, then destroy the evidence. :-)
