Art Commission Dedication
Feb. 10th, 2006 12:19 pmA couple of years ago I was on an Albuquerque Arts Commission to select a new piece of artwork for the entrance to the ABQ Airport on Sunport Blvd.
This was a fascinating process, from the initial discussions, to the request for submissions from artists in the region, to the several meetings on choosing the artist, to the selection, to the process of building the artwork. Budget was $250,000.
The dedication is this afternoon at 5...I'm happy to have been a part of this process!
