Upbeat stuff

- Sunday afternoon I called a 2 hour C1 class/workshop at the house...had 13 show up, so there was a lot of tagging in and out. The downstairs is arranged very well for dance workshops now...and the homoerotic art on the north wall kept them all intrigued, I'm sure. The naked, painted Keith Haring photo by Annie Liebowitz is one of my personal faves. Flanked on the right by the near-naked construction worker, and on the left by the sultry young Dutch man in near-naked repose, all in B/W, the triptich lends such a tasteful ambiance. I wonder if the str8 folks noticed.
- Monday morning the garage doors were installed. MORE stuff with remote controls! Woowoo! We're so posh now! Now we have to have a wireless remote inside the house to open the west door before we get to it! This weekend, we'll break out the north storeroom wall, to open the garage up into a huge space.
- Monday night, there were at least 16 new folks at the Wilde Bunch open house. We danced 4 squares most of the night. The energy was high, with me popping in tidbits like the Barn Dance mixer, Rip n Snort, and various low stress dance moves. I'm crossing my fingers we get a strong group carrying on through crossover class 61 in June.
- Today, had a good impromptu meeting with my auxiliaries co-worker Karen, working out details on how to deal with the Lodestar Astronomy Center, which faces a $500,000 loss this year. This morning, the staff meeting featured a bonding session moderated by a communications counselor. Very pleasantly touchy-feeling, without being ugh. Productive work day all around.
- Danny's been working relentlessly for several days on a major upgrade to the bradleybell.org site...it's not quite eaten away his brain, but it's getting there. He got his National Geographic DNA Family Tree kit today, so he's in heaven.
- The brief Winter blast passed and Spring is just around the corner...the elms are about to leaf out, and the flowering fruit trees, mostly plum, don't look too worse for the wear after two nights of hard freezes.
