up at 3am...grumble

Must have lots on my mind that woke me up at 3am, so I'm downstairs on the laptop watching old reruns of "The Graham Norton Effect."
Woke up thinking that I WOULD be able to do my c/w lessons on April 6. I'm going to have to work at Popejoy Hall that night dealing with "Hairspray" daily settlement, but I can just go in after 9pm. That's kind of a relief, since I'll be missing next Thursday, being up in Philadelphia that night. The weekend DJ will cover, along with the amazing Scott leading the line dances. I'll miss being there, since Thursdays have such positive energy.
IN SPITE of Sidewinder's Ranch having no publicity at all for the C/W lessons, word of mouth seems to be working. Danny counted 32 on the floor when I was teaching Cotton Eye Joe, with at least another dozen or so sitting it out. The 2 hours just flies by, since I don't really take any breaks from teaching. The Ranch just installed another huge color sign by the front door, listing all the regular weekly events...but Thursday c/w isn't on it. Johnny's karaoke from 9pm to 2am IS on it in huge bold letters, but I can't imagine that there's that many that show for it. Since we can't stay away much after 10pm, especially on a weeknight, I have no idea how it does...they have karaoke three nights a week!
I know this morning will fit my usual trend when I wake up way too early like this. I'm totally wide awake at the moment, but know that I'll fade about 5 or 5:30, crawl back into bed with the Danster, and wake up WAY late for work, feeling like hell. Oh, well.
In other news, I'm relieved that
john_nyc is back home, if not totally well. Ya feel so helpless when you hear a friend has health issues (especially when the medium is LJ) and here you sit 2000 miles away unable to do a thing for it.

Date: 2006-03-24 05:09 pm (UTC)True to form, I fell back asleep on the recliner about 4:30, woke up at 5:30 with CNN blaring away, crawled into bed and fell asleep, and groggily woke up at 8:30ish...and here I am at work feeling washed out. Oh, well!
