This morning, we returned the tankless water heater and the water softener to Home Depot with no questions asked. Done. We still have the whole house water filter that will be installed with the new water heater, whenever we get it...which has to be soon. So it's not a 100% loss.

Then we went into shopping mode, trying to find just the right mini-fridge, dishwasher etc for the downstairs. That's also a challenge, but we did end up at Sears, where in a self-gratification purchase, we bought a new BBQ to replace the failing old one. We also ordered a low-end dishwasher there, too, which we'll pick up next week. We saw the sink we wanted at Home Depot, and have pretty much decided on a fridge, too.

So after a few more shopping spots for window shopping (Kirkland's, Pier 1), we ambled home. [livejournal.com profile] abqdan went right into his destructo-mode in the laundry room, and I started the process of assembling the new BBQ. And here's the final product! AND it works!

Apparently all I needed to get me out of the funk was to actually finish a project I started!

I'm so proud of you. Getting a grill instead of what you went there for is exactly something I would do—which is why, apparently, I'm not allowed to go alone. I found a lovely one for $36K, but I wasn't allowed to get it because the granite pattern didn't match our deck. *sigh*
