Here's a view of our house...it's toward the bottom with the "Bill and Danny's House" on it. Salmon stucco house, grey roof with 5 skylights. It's a two story house, and it's not longer salmon-colored, there's now a wooden deck sticking off the back (east) side of the house, and the lawn furniture is in different position nowadays. This picture is probably 3 years old, taken in the winter, from what I can tell. The back yard is mostly rock, but the terraced areas behind the house is where I have most of my garden.
Note the bizarre lot sizes in our part of the block. The NE corner of our lot ends about 3 feet away from the back wall of the brick house there! There's some odd kind of alley that's not part of their property, and some unknown people park RVs and cars there.
The NE corner of our house is about 10 feet away from the neighbor with the red tin roof...that's where the dog Rocky is, and where he barks at anything passing on the street. You can't tell, but their back yard it about 3 feet lower than ours.

Date: 2006-04-14 03:04 pm (UTC)Poor dog...I looked over the fence at him today and he's hobbling around, with a glazed look in his eyes. I didn't hear him bark at all this morning.
It makes us very sad, but dealing with humane service and city environmental on this is just awful.
That used to be a lovely grassed yard, both front and back. It's just all dirt, weeds and feces now.
