Houston, we have a problem..
May. 28th, 2007 10:25 pmI can't post much now, but at 2:30am Monday morning, we had an *EXTREMELY SERIOUS* situation with Danny and a fall that required Hyatt security, 7 EMT and paramedics and an ambulance ride to St Josephs Hospital in Denver.
We finally left the ER at 5:15, only to blearily have to wait for a cab to the hotel until nearly 7:00am. It wasn't pretty, and I was so tired that I couldn't react appropriately. The hotel security had kindly given us a voucher for the taxi, but it turns out Yellow Cab drivers hate the vouchers and tend to ignore pickup requests if they know a voucher is the payment.
But we're home. Long long drive from Denver to Albuquerque after 2 hours of sleep that night. I can't even tell you.
Any movement is limited and extremely painful, even with pills.
We'll be going to the doctor on Tuesday morning. I thought I had lost him Monday morning when I found him unconscious on the hotel room floor...I woke up when I heard him go down. Right now, it looks like he's rebroken some upper chest ribs he had broken about 20 years ago; the ER doc couldn't tell from X-Rays. It's also unclear why he passed out. It may have been a reaction to dinner hours before, since he had just been to the bathroom.
