A better Wednesday

After the fog of yesterday, today is a MUCH better day. Back to having energy, and not too croupy or cough-y. I'd say I'm at 75% of 'normal'...whatever that is supposed to be. Fairly productive at work, with the spectre of year-end approaching.
I'm starting to tell some improvement in Danny, although he still hurts a lot. He's thinking he may be able to start driving next week, at least to work...it's only a few minutes from the house. I'm fine with driving him, of course, since we work on the same campus. Still sleeping in the recliner, but he's thinking he'll be able to rejoin in bed 'soon!' There's no joke that this is at least a 6 week healing process. It's been over 2 weeks since his fall, and still any sudden movement (like a cough or sneeze) brings him to tears in pain.
Danny's talking about our continuing the remodeling process upstairs now. For now, that's mostly getting rid of this nasty 20 year old carpet upstairs, redoing some electrical and lighting, painting and maybe gutting the upstairs hall bathroom and modernizing it. That's the only bathroom in the house that wasn't redone in 1989, so it still has the 1960 yellow tile and time-dated fixtures.
Another night off...have to plan the c/w lessons for tomorrow night, but that's about it! Maybe another attempt to conquer some of the nightshade in the back yard.
Tomorrow is the last night that patrons will be allowed to smoke in bars in Albuquerque. So a smoky lesson on Thursday night, but maybe I'll stop by on Saturday night to see what dancing in a smoke-free bar is like!
