The Spring Tease is here

Spent about 2 1/2 hours doing yard work (in the debris pile mostly). Raking up some of last year's locust leaves, I found thousands of one-day-old weeds starting to spring up.

THAT'S why it's called Spring!

It's 56 right now, the warmest it's been since early last December. I'm lovin' it!

Except for the shadiest spots, the last of last week's 2 inches of snow seems to be melting away.

Oddly, it's about that warm here. :p For us skiers, we don't appreciate weather this warm in Feb...

That's me speaking as a non-skier. It's still plenty cool in the mountains, though. Chama, that had nearly 4 foot of snow over the past few weeks, has been praying for warm weather...they've had to deal with disaster relief.

Oh man, that's rough!

We assumed it would be colder up at the resorts than down where we live in the valley, but I guess we have a bit of an inversion, because the temperatures were close to the same, even though we were 4,000 - 5,000 feet higher at the resort.
