Transitioning to summer

billeylerThe tulips are but a distant memory and even their green leaves have disappeared, as they always do. The irises are gone. And so come the summer flowers!
Pink hollyhock leads the way...this is the first of it:
Two specimens still persevering from the wildflower mix experiment from 4 years ago. I also saw that all three of my store-bought day lilies are going to be blooming in the next few weeks! First time...I planted them three years ago!
