Chorus: Rehearsal night 1

billeylerI was amazed to find 32 men singing tonight for our first rehearsal. We didn't really work on much of the music, but it had already been all put together in the order we're going to sing it in December. It's HAPPILY a more balanced program for this term. It all feels organized.
I'm a bit more jazzed about this term than I thought I'd be. There are a lot of YOUNG men in the chorus, but they seem to be committed to singing. There are a few around my age, too. We actually had SEVEN singing bass tonight; considering we had a hard time getting 3 of us together, that's significant. We were all spread out in a big horseshoe, and me being at one end of it, I couldn't really hear many of the other voices.
We'll see what the rest of the term brings! It's sure a convenient location, just 1.5 miles from the house, in Nob Hill!
