My mom had her followup appointed with her doc after her lung biopsy on 9/2.  The tumor is benign.  We're all relieved.  My middle brother, who took her to the appt, called me just a bit ago.

Of course he has his own problems.  While they were waiting for the doctor (75 minutes past the appointment time), he got a call that one of his empty rentals had been working on had been broken into.

This seems to be a mom-related week all 'round. Congratulations on the benign result!

Whew, really glad to hear about your mom. And I hope your brother's rental isn't in too bad a shape.

My brother's rental properties draw this type of scenario. He has about 60 of them now and I don't think he paid more than $15,000 for any of them (it's Shreveport, after all). He puts a lot of sweat equity into fixing them up, but of course they all just get destroyed by the renters, especially the ones that end up there from the New Orleans area. He's even been accused of brutality by people he's had to evict, which of course is all made up. I don't know how he does it.

Thanks. Now if we (or anyone) can figure out why her ability to maintain weight shut down about 18 months ago, that would be even better news. She dropped over 30 pounds from 110 to 80 and hasn't been able to gain any weight at all--for a woman who used to have a 5'7 1/2" frame, that's pretty scary. And she definitely eats!

I bet! That is frustrating to try and figure out the weight thing. Marty is down to 138 today -- the lowest since he was in 8th grade. He had a good amount of energy today though, but need to figure this thing out.
