End of a week

abqdan mentions, we're both a bit overwhelmed by this remodel, but it will all be over in just a couple of months. Knock on wood.
I took 1/2 day off from work today (it IS a national Gay holiday, after all, according to my boss!) so Danny and I could continue our foray into shopping for biggish ticket items.
At Lowe's we got the quote together for the Kraftmaid vanities from our dance acquaintance John, who is a kitchen/bath designer. We also picked up 3 sinks, 3 lovely brushed nickle faucets, and a new toilet. We know how to live, we do!
Since the reason I took that half day off was so we could visit tiles stores (many of which seem to be open only Monday through Friday, 9 to 5), we traveled up north of town to Tile and Stone Row and were met with a dizzying array of types of tiles for the shower and bath. We had already chosen the look we wanted, but Lowes didn't have some of the parts for the tile we wanted. We went to Interceramic, Dal-Tile just on the edge of town, then A World of Tiles on Menaul. We've changed what we wanted from our original thoughts, but haven't really made a decision yet. Luckily we won't be ready for tile installation for several weeks at the least.
Tonight we're going to lay low and avoid the kiddies. We're taking our neighbor to the airport, then another trip to Lowes, then we have the weekend to ourselves!
