abqdan posted about our continuing renovations this weekend, which we deemed fairly successful, and retired to eat ice cream (soy ice cream in his case).

I did slip in a little yardwork on Saturday before we started tackling whatever it was we were doing. It's just amazing the weeding that has to be done after a bit of rain here and there.

'Old friend' Mike from Indianapolis made his annual trek to NM and again stayed in Albuquerque for a few days before his one-week arts teaching at Hummingbird Camp in the Jemez. This year, he and Danny actually met for the first time, over dinner at Fuddrucker's. Apparently Mike stayed at the house for some period of time LAST year when Danny was out of town, but I have no memory of it. Maybe I just gave him the alarm code and a place to crash when I was out of town, too...I just can't remember.

But beyond the social, something is up with my body again. The past two nights, every time I've laid down to go to sleep, I feel the comings-on of the a-fib, but it never gets to that point. Just a sort of a panicky rush and I'm wide awake again. I got to sleep between 4:30 and 5:00 both mornings, and feel like crap this morning...making it to work late, and just sitting here in a fog, doing small little projects. I've been trying to go to bed at 10:30 or 11, which is a decent hour, but end up sitting up watching TV until the VERY wee hours, totally exhausted.

I might make an appointment with my cardiologist to see if there's something going on outside of the a-fib, like artery blockage or the like. This aging thing sucks. :-)
