The monsoon continues...

billeylerEnjoying the light show and rolling thunder of another summer T'storm. It's probably 10-15 flashes a minute, but so far just a splattering of rain. What's so wonderful is that these storms cool the air from the mid 90s to the 70s pretty quickly, but it plays hell with the efficiency of the swamp coolers.
The quality of the thunder is very different now with the new insulated windows...very hollow with a tinny overtone. Before two years ago, the thunder sounded like it was right there with you.
We're just 25% below normal rainfall for the year (8 inches annual). The drought is slackening.
