For about the last six months, I've been sneezing on and off during the day...I know it's because of this low-grade sinusitis I'm carrying.  Occasional use during the day of sprays keeps me fairly open...usually.   It's been a minor annoyance, but I get my share of Bless Yous at work at least.

This morning, I was motivated to work outside clearing more of the debris pile behind the garage.  Most of what I was working with was the old English Ivy I stripped from the cinder block wall 3 years ago.  There must have been a LOT of bad dust in it...ugh.  Ever since I went to work at 1:30, I've been feeling like I'm either getting that bad cold Danny had or this is allergies kicking in big time.  Weepy eyes, congestion, sneezes, the works.  Ugh.

But the good thing is that a huge portion of the debris pile is now bagged up and ready for the trash.  I was able to recycle some of the old fencing to use for fast vining growth of the new Halls Honeysuckle.

The garden looks really nice right now...I'll take a picture of it soon.  The irises are about 1/3 through their bloom cycle.  The roses are blooming and the rest of it is showing signs of just bursting out in color.  I'm loving the contrast of the California Poppies against the little bit of Valerian I've let come back and the deep purple of the irises.  There's a flock of yellow irises also blooming, and the irises that Bill and Ralph from Denver gave me 10 years ago are starting their multi-color explosion.

Danny's got a project he's working on tonight.  He went out and bought small tarps and some bias tape* and is sewing together covers for the new deck furniture!  He'll probably have it all done by the time I get back from the theatre tonight about 9.

Looking forward to a lovely Sunday!  Only 2 more shows of I Love a Piano and they're outta here!

* He went to several places to try to find bias tape, which apparently used to be common.  After several false attempts, he ended up getting satin wedding dress tape!
